Harvesting in Mansfield Center

Our Purpose

Harvesting In Mansfield was founded in 1987 in El Paso, Texas, as White Harvesting Ministries. Our goal was simple; provide hot meals to the homeless. Today, our name has changed and we have relocated our corporate office to Mansfield Texas, but our goal remains the same; feed those in need.

Harvesting In Mansfield is both a food bank and food pantry meaning we serve both clients who go through a simple application process to receive food AND we provide food in bulk (500lbs – 2,500lbs) to over 100 churches and other nonprofit organizations for them to distribute all over North Texas.

Harvesting In Mansfield served approximately 149,000 people in 2018 with approximately 4 million lbs. of food generously donated and bought at discounted prices from our wonderful partners that include Tarrant Area Food Bank, Operation Blessings, Market Street, Whole Foods, Wal-Mart, Panera Bread, etc…In addition to our “regular” services we also work with Common Ground, Rush Creek Church, and Rocking H Ranch in supporting their efforts with both back packs for kids and the summer sack programs. In 2018 we also provided full Thanksgiving meals to over 650 families in need and Christmas meals and toys to over 100 families.

Our Goal

Our goal is to insure every child, family, and senior who comes to us in need of the basic essentials; food, hygiene items, cleaning supplies, etc…are served with kindness and compassion, without judgement, and with love, support, and encouragement.

Today, our name has changed and we have relocated our corporate office to Mansfield Texas, but our goal remains the same; feed hungry children, families, and seniors. In addition to our current programs and services we have also been a valuable resource with community disaster response In events such as the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the Haltom City tornadoes, Oklahoma flooding and hurricane Gustav. Most recently in 2019 we supported over 350 families who were severely affected by the government shut-down.
